Becker Bouwkamp Walker, PC is your full-service boutique family law firm. Our team handles family law actions and other civil matters throughout Central Indiana. We work to assist our clients in all of life’s difficult transitions. Our goal is to keep clients informed to help ease the uncertainty and perhaps even reduce the stress that comes from feeling vulnerable and alone during life transitions.
We dedicate ourselves to diligent personal advocacy. When you choose to work with a family law and litigation attorney from Becker Bouwkamp Walker, PC, you will have an attorney that will listen to you, advise you, and help you navigate the legal process. Our team often collaborates with professional experts, such as accountants, financial planners, mental health professionals, appraisers, and others to help the court understand your position and reach a fair settlement or position at trial.
To achieve such outcomes, we provide clients with guidance, direction and assistance with Family Law issues through litigation and other means of conflict resolution, such as mediation and collaborative law. We will advocate for you on issues including divorce, paternity, child custody, child support, grandparent rights, and parenting time matters. In difficult marital and divorce cases, we assist with domestic violence issues, protective and restraining orders, spousal maintenance and modifications of custody and child support.
Our Family Law practice also provides legal services in areas such as adoption, guardianships, mediation, collaborative divorce, and premarital and post-nuptial agreements. And we often work with financial professionals to locate, identify, and divide marital assets to maximize protection of our client’s interests under the law in cases ranging from those with modest to high value marital estates.

Community Involvement
At Becker Bouwkamp Walker, PC, we believe our ability to give better legal service to individuals and families is improved by being actively engaged and committed in our community. From arts organizations to sports and recreation programs for individuals with disabilities, from local history to programs that assist victims of domestic violence and our professional affiliations, we are dedicated to making life better for the people and causes we care about.
For example, in the Indianapolis and central Indiana communities, our attorneys are, or have been, involved in arts organizations such as Art with a Heart, the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana Sports Program, and community improvement initiatives like The Historic Ambassador House and Heritage Gardens in Fishers, and Habitat for Humanity. And we’ve honored Indiana’s history with service to the Indiana Historical Society.
The attorneys at Becker Bouwkamp Walker, PC have dedicated themselves to advocating for those without power, as well as humanitarian causes such as Outreach, Inc., a not-for-profit providing outreach to the homeless and at-risk young adults to involvement with the Indianapolis Bar Foundation which helps fund programming for pro bono legal service for the indigent.
Our firm, along with many in the local legal community, recognizes the responsibility to provide pro bono legal assistance. We were honored and humbled to receive the 2015 “Pro Bono Award to a Law Firm” at the Annual IndyBar Recognition Awards Breakfast. While our commitment to serving those in need has never been motivated by a desire for recognition, the tip of the hat from the Bar Association was appreciated.
Our continuing dedication to serving your family legal needs is enhanced by providing strong voices and leadership in our professional affiliations, too. We’re members of the Indianapolis Bar Association, the Indiana Bar Foundation, the International Association of Collaborative Professionals, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. We’ve also served the IBA’s Grievance Committee.
