CARL J. BECKER is a founding partner in the law firm of Becker Bouwkamp Walker, PC, where he practices in all the various areas of domestic relations/family law including mediation, dissolution, paternity, custody, support, property settlement, protective orders, and guardianships. He also practices in the areas of manufactured housing law, general commercial advice, and business litigation. His practice takes him to various counties throughout the state with the majority of his work being in Marion, Hamilton, Hendricks, Hancock, and Boone counties. He received his undergraduate and legal education at University of Illinois (BS, Accountancy, High Honors, 1988; J.D., cum laude, 1991). Carl has been recognized as an Indiana Super Lawyer for 2019-2021. He is a Registered Domestic Relations Mediator, has been trained as an Arbitrator, and has been selected as a Distinguished Fellow of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation. Carl is a member of the Indianapolis, Hamilton County, and Indiana State Bar Associations and has served on the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Impact Fund Committee since 2019.Carl has lectured on numerous occasions regarding family law issues including child custody, child support, property issues, the representation of children, and mediation and other alternative dispute resolution techniques. He also frequently lectures on issues impacting manufactured housing communities and has worked with members of the Indiana Manufactured Housing Association on issues ranging from purchases and sales of manufactured housing communities, to drafting leases and other contracts used by communities, and tenant/landlord issues.
