JOANI PHOEBUS, Director of Client Services | Paralegal :
Joani Phoebus serves as Director of Client Services and a paralegal at Becker Bouwkamp Walker, PC, where she is dedicated to ensuring every client receives exceptional support throughout the legal process. Since joining the firm in 2020, she has played an integral role in client service, case management, and firm operations.
Before joining B2W, Joani spent more than six years as Director of Client Services for an elder law firm. She earned her BS degree in marketing from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and has built her career in business and event management, operations, and client relations.
At B2W, Joani oversees all aspects of the client experience, from case management and drafting legal pleadings to client communication and billing. She also supports the firm’s marketing initiatives, event planning, accounting, and day-to-day office operations.
Outside the office, Joani is married and has two grown sons. She enjoys cooking, entertaining family and friends, and cheering on the Indiana Hoosiers. During football season, you’ll usually find her organizing a tailgate for a large group of fellow IU fans before kickoff.
ALEX BAILEY, Paralegal: 
ALEX BAILEY is a paralegal at Becker Bouwkamp Walker, PC. Prior to joining the firm in 2022, she obtained her BS at the University of Southern Indiana (2014) and her Master of Fine Arts degree at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (2019). In 2024, she received her Certificate in Paralegal Studies through Ivy Tech.
Alex is often the first point of contact for those who reach out to the firm, completing the intake process with prospective clients, communicating with courts and other firms, and serving as B2W’s primary administrator for daily in-office operations. Outside the office, you might find Alex listening to audiobooks, teaching pottery classes and getting creative at Beech Grove Clay Works, or staying active with cycling or volleyball.
EMILY GANTT, Paralegal:
Emily Gantt is a paralegal at Becker Bouwkamp Walker, PC. She joined B2W in 2020 after four years as a Medicaid Specialist at an elder law firm and over 15 years of experience in the life insurance and software industries. At B2W Emily focuses her paralegal work on discovery, financial declarations, and marital estate summaries. Her expertise in financial analysis combined with her excellent organizational skills makes her a natural choice to be the point-person for our clients regarding all financial elements of their case.
Emily is a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. She and her husband have raised two children and a variety of dogs in Carmel. She loves spending time with her family and friends, reading, traveling, and finding new treasures at flea markets and thrift stores.
